Theodora Danso, MSW
Hi there—I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern working under licensed supervision, and every time someone chooses to share their story with me, it feels like an honor. I show up with fresh energy, evidence-based training, and a heart that’s been shaped by my own winding path—because life is messy, beautiful, and never linear.
I work with children starting at age six, the ones who light up when we build Lego worlds or turn worries into shrinkable monsters. I sit with adolescents wrestling “who am I?” amid school drama, friendship earthquakes, and that one teacher who just doesn’t get it. I walk beside young adults—college students, first-job warriors, or anyone staring at the ceiling at 2 a.m. wondering what’s next. If you’re in one of those seasons, I’m here for you.
Your goals steer the ship, and together we’ll explore every modality that fits as it comes up—play, art, CBT, DBT, solution-focused, trauma-informed, family systems—whatever language feels most like home in the moment.
What keeps me awake (in the best way) are the quiet thieves—anxiety, depression, stress—and the louder ones: school refusal, crushing academic pressure, the brave journey of LGBTQ+ identity, the ache of divorce or grief, the long road from college to “real life.” I’m passionate about self-esteem that doesn’t crumble in the mirror, body image that feels like an ally, and turning ADHD “I should” into “I did” with color-coded chaos and zero shame.
I’m available evenings and weekends, because healing shouldn’t mean skipping soccer practice or missing school.
I’m finishing my MSW with a clinical focus and learning every day from a licensed supervisor who keeps me sharp and kind.
I’m not here to fix you; you’re not broken. I’m here to help you remember who you are beneath the noise.
