As the youngest of eight children, I have learned the value of working with all types of humans. Humor, compassion, and a good plan are the ingredients I use to make space for connection and change. I have spent the last 25 years working as an award-winning photographer and a progressive minded high school teacher. With people both young and old, and in the rural and urban areas of the Midwest and New England, I have found humility in the moments I’ve shared— listening, laughing, and supporting through the joys and difficulties of growing up. As my second act, I am working toward a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Vermont State University, building on the skills I have painstakingly learned over the course of my career. With my experience, I am confident that I am well positioned to connect with future clients, with the aim of helping them to discover their best selves. I have completed two years of invaluable internship experiences at Community Mental Health Agencies in Central Vermont, where I have worked with individuals and families navigating a variety of life’s challenges. I am solution-focused and fully believe you can have the life you want to live, through ongoing focused work and self-compassion.

When I’m not at work, I play! I enjoy being a mom of two beautiful and busy teenagers and sneaking in walks in the woods with my partner. I love to cook and to be cooked for :). I am also patiently learning to garden during Vermont’s brief growing season.

I hope to work with you soon.
